If you're a woman traveling alone, you'll love staying at this lodge. The location is perfect, right on the shores of a stunning lagoon where you can swim, kayak, and relax. The cabins are beautifully decorated and comfortable, with lovely outdoor bathrooms. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, always willing to assist you with anything you need. The food in the restaurant is delicious, with a variety of tasty options. Plus, there are plenty of seating areas to relax and enjoy the view.
The only downside is the lack of clear directions to the lodge, and the bumpy access road.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hidden gem in Nicaragua. The value for money was incredible, with a private cabana and access to the beautiful lake. The room was like a dream, with a cozy bed and a unique outdoor shower. The location was perfect, surrounded by mountains and with direct access to the clear and warm lake. The staff at San Simian Lodge were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home.
The only thing that could have made the morning meal better was if there were more vegetarian options available.

The staff at this eco-lodge were incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. Located in a stunningly beautiful area, the lodge offers a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. The food served was simply INCREDIBLE, with every dish leaving us in awe of the flavors. Although there is no air conditioning, the well-functioning fans in the spacious bungalows provided ample comfort. Bird and butterfly enthusiasts will be ecstatic with the abundance of wildlife, so don't forget your binoculars and bird books. The owner was incredibly kind and there was even an adorable dog on the property. We could have stayed here forever, it truly felt like paradise. Nicaragua is a safe and friendly country, so don't hesitate to visit. Highly recommend!

I had an absolutely amazing stay at a peaceful resort in La Laguna. The location was stunning, with a beautiful lagoon just in front and a scenic path leading to a breathtaking viewpoint. The resort offered delicious food at reasonable prices, and I especially loved the fresh gazpacho and 'sombrero' dessert. The host, Daniel, went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, even providing a packed breakfast for our early check-out. The accommodation was fantastic, with private cabins and even a private outdoor shower. The resort also had direct access to the lake, with free kayaks and bodyboards available. I highly recommend this resort for a nature-filled and relaxing getaway.

I recently stayed at San Simian in La Laguna for a peaceful getaway. The surrounding lake and views were incredibly relaxing. The unique concept of having the shower, sink, and toilet outside of the hut provided a great view of the sky and trees while still maintaining privacy. The resort's location was perfect, with a nice path full of monkeys and zooglyphs leading to a beautiful viewpoint of Catarina. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, especially the fresh gazpacho and 'sombrero' dessert. I also appreciated the cheap laundry fee and the thoughtful packed breakfast for our early check-out. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.
100% Recommend this hotel.

We absolutely loved our weekend at this nature retreat! The peaceful environment and the sound of birds chirping made for a truly relaxing atmosphere. The access to the lagoon was a huge plus, and we had a blast using the complimentary kayaks and inner tubes. The rooms were amazing, especially the outdoor showers – it was such a unique experience! And the best part was the delicious made-to-order breakfast. The freshly squeezed juices and good coffee gave us a great start to our day.
While our stay was incredible, there were a couple of things that could have been better. First, the prices of the fancy drinks and wine were a bit high for our budget.
